Assessment Handbook

2018/19

Welcome

This handbook is for all postgraduate taught students in the School of Education, to provide support, information, and guidance on studying and writing your assessments, including dissertations. It can’t tell you everything you need to know, and should be read in conjunction with material from your specific programme - and, perhaps more importantly, used to inform your conversations with colleagues on those programmes when questions arise. The handbook outlines practical details of how assessments should be formatted and submitted, and more discursive ideas about how best to develop your work and make the most of your assignments. It covers all assessments, from little bits of reflective writing to (where appropriate) your final dissertation.

I wish you the best of luck with these studies, and hope you enjoy, and benefit from, your time in the School.
