More About Me

I am originally from the Twin Cities area. I attended two years at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. I then transferred to UW-Eau Claire and received a Bachelor's in Special Education CD/LD. I also have a Master's Degree in Education administration from National University and a Work Based Learning Licence from Bethel College.

After graduating from Eau Claire, I taught for seven years at West High School in Anchorage, Alaska as a special education teacher and also coached the cross country ski team. I am now in my eighth year at Red Wing High School and my fourth year as the Flight Path Coordinator. I also am the head coach for Red Wing Nordic and the Ultimate Frisbee teams.

Outside of teaching and coaching, I am a board member for the Red Wing Environmental Learning Center. I am also a Co-Founder of Disability Support International where I work mostly in Cambodia during the summers training organizations about different types of disabilities and academic and behavioral interventions.

When I find some free time, I continue to run, ski, and play ultimate. I also love to get out on the rivers in my kayak, fish, hunt, camp and anything else outdoors.
