Message from PSUT

Jordanian people, as other nations, have difficult time these days fighting against this pandemic, that we all pray "Allah May Bless us, heal those infected and protect our nations".

PSUT has followed the government decisions since the announcement of the outbreak of COVID-19. Starting Monday 16th of March, 2020, PSUT started offering all classes online, via all possible platforms, including Zoom, YouTube and others.

PSUT faculty, staff and students are striving to make this fight a success! All classes are given on schedule and exams will be arranged accordingly.

We, at PSUT, salute the efforts of all our community, including our alumni, who do their best to protect themselves and the community by complying to the government directions.

PSUT response to the COVID-19 outbreak

PSUT, as many other institutions, has taken actions against the wide spread of the corona virus, COVID-19. In this page, we update our graduate students of actions and decisions made in response to COVID-19.

PSUT most significant decisions in response to COVID-19 outbreak; Spring 2019-2020

1- All classes of Spring 2020 will be offered online, except those practical courses (like some labs) that need physical attendance. Those latter courses will be made up for students when we go back to campus.

2- Only for Spring 2020 courses, any course may be graded on a pass/fail basis, and those courses will be counted toward earning your degree. Students can select which courses they like to be graded as pass/fail, after seeing their final grade.

3- Master students studying "Engineering Management" have the option of pass/fail for both PSUT and UA (University of Arizona) courses. However, for their UA courses, the last date for deciding their pass/fail courses is last day of classes, not after the final exam.

4- Master theses defenses will be conducted online.

5- Master students in the comprehensive track will write their comprehensive exams after we go back to campus. If our return to campus will be after the end of the semester, they will write the exam in the summer, and they do not need to pay any extra fees for the summer. We all hope that the situation will not last until late summer!

6- Students who have borrowed books from the library should not worry about any delay fines. You will return your book when you return to campus.

7- Instructors will coordinate with their students regarding the grading of the courses. Your online work will be graded out of 30% and the final exam will be graded out of 70. However, up to 20 marks of the 70 can be evaluated upon a project or a research paper.

8- All exams will be conducted online according to the university calendar. Dates have been already announced by the deanship of registration.

Technical issues and other cases may appear. These will be resolved for every individual or every course accordingly. Please be in touch with your instructor for these matters.
