Welcome to CVC

Lottery Applicants: 

CVC would like to give you this preview of what is being planned for the school year. We understand that lottery results are not yet available, and that should not keep us from setting your child up for the most possibilities if accepted. 

Current 5th grade students:

It is assumed you will stay with CVC for 6th grade (make sure you complete and submit your intent to return form). This process will be done in class with teachers. If you are not staying with CVC for middle school, let your counselor know to get connected with your future counselor.

Step 1

Lottery Applicants: Look at our course catalog, elective video, and course selection sheet below, read carefully, and email our middle school counselor, Mrs. Hernandez, your top 4 preferred courses (phernandez@psusd.us; Due to scheduling limitations, courses cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability, even if the student is accepted through an application process (e.g. ASB, CVC TV, and Spanish):

Step 2

In May families will be notified if there is a placement for the student(s) that the lottery application was submitted for. A registration packet must then be picked up from the office and submitted by due date or earlier.

Step 4

Save the Date: Attend our new middle school orientation Date TBD in August

Step 5

Save the Date: First day of school for 2024-2025 is August 7, 2024.

Step 6

If you are placed at CVC for middle school, make sure you email your middle school counselor, Mrs. Hernandez: phernandez@psusd.us for your Google Classroom code and join (you will be able to join once you have been assigned a PSUSD email).
