FCS FRAMEWORK
Building Strong Family & Consumer Sciences Programs in Montana
The Framework for Montana Family and Consumer Sciences is
a guidance document being developed by FCS professionals to frame what it means to have a high quality Family and Consumer Sciences program.
The Framework will include:
a program overview,
pathway course expectations and
course standards as identified from the National FCS Education Standards, the foundation of all FCS programs in Montana.

Learn how the MT FCS Program courses are sequenced across comprehensive programs (middle level and secondary), pathway and additional supplementary courses.
Class 4 Courses are also identified which can be taught by Class 4 teacher indicated as follows:
Hospitality/Culinary in yellow highlight
Education in blue highlight
All courses can be taught with a Class 1, 2, 5A and 5B license in Family and Consumer Sciences Education.
