Montana Family & Consumer Sciences Education is found in middle and secondary schools across the state the the focus on life literacy as well as workforce development of employability skills and technical training working within the people centered careers within these four Career and Technical Education pathways:

• Design FCS

• Education/Early Childhood

• Hospitality & Tourism (Culinary)

• Human Services

A intracurricular component of FCS Education is the Montana Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) where students:

• Gain leadership experience

• Develop  employability skills including teamwork, communication, speaking, time management and responsibility

• Experience real world applications of the FCS content

• Learn by doing under the watchful eye of a  FCS adviser
