CAMPUS PRIDE INDEX

The Campus Pride Index is a great tool for prospective students to search a database of LGBTQ-friendly campuses. The index is owned and operated by Campus Pride, the leading national nonprofit organization for student leaders and campus groups working to create safer, more LGBTQ-friendly learning environments at colleges and universities. You can search by name, institution type, location, rating, and setting. Campus Pride also provides a list of scholarships geared toward students who identify as LGBTQ+ 

COLLEGES THAT CHANGE LIVES (CTCL)

Colleges That Change Lives, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and support of a student-centered college search process. Copies of Colleges That Change Lives by Loren Pope are available to borrow from the college office. While many of these colleges attend our college fair The Unique NYC College Fair they also hold their own fair in the Spring.

ScholarMatcher

This search tool is geared toward helping first-generation and low-income students with their college search. These schools offer superior resources, support, and outcomes for students from households earning less than $50,000 per year. 

HBCU SEARCH TOOL

The Hundred-Seven offers a search tool for students to explore historically black colleges and universities. You can search by state, alphabetical order, affordability, and more.

MyIntuition

The actual cost of attending a given college can vary greatly from the advertised cost of attendance, which is why it's important to run a net price calculator for each school on your list. While individual colleges are required to have this available on their website, there is also a shortened, estimated version for many colleges available on www.myintuition.org.  

ART & DESIGN SCHOOLS

The AICAD site offers tools for students to find art and design schools that are a good fit, as well as ways to explore potential careers and get help with applications. 

THE CITY UNIVERSITY OF NEW YORK - CUNY

The CUNY campuses are located within the five boroughs of New York City. They are comprised of both 4 year colleges and 2 year community colleges. They offer special honors programs including the prestigious Macauley Honors College as well as the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education.
