Kokmuiža Manor Complex

In the beginning the manor was built from wood, it is why the complex has a name Kokmuiža (eng. Wooden manor). It was the place where celebrations often were held. Specially luxurious park feasts were celebrated, including lectures, theater, orchestra and ball. Today the traditions are continued in the eastern barn of the complex, which was reconstructed in 1980 and is used as house of culture. Every year Kokmuiža festival is organized.
