Vaidava Mound

Vaidava Mound is a cultural monument of national significance, which is located in the right bank of the Vaidava lake. In literature, Vaidava Mound is mentioned since 1870s, when the count Karl Georg von Sievers put forward a hypothesis that this is the place of the ancient Beverina castle. Vaidava Mound spring can be found next to Vaidava Mound, on the coast of lake Vaidava. Perhaps the spring was connected to the Devil’s cave, not far away, which collapsed in the beginning of the 20th century.
