Recorder Cleaning
It's important to regularly clean any instrument regularly, but the recorder is possibly the easiest to clean!
Using a soft cotton cloth (small section), thread it through the cleaning rod, take recorder apart (3-sections) push rod with cloth through.
Another option, and more thorough one, use dishwashing soap and warm water... Even better, put it in the dishwasher!
Either way make sure that there is NO moisture in or on the recorder when storing it again. Otherwise it could create mold - ew!

Yamaha is the brand the school orders and recommends (previously recommended Aulos), we use the plastic Soprano recorder with Baroque-fingerings in 3-pieces "Yamaha YRS-24B Soprano Recorder" for instructional purposes. Non-"soprano" recorders will not work. One recorder is $10, and a recorder lanyand is $1.
