About Ms. Leeder

Grade/Subject: STAEM Lab Teacher 6th, 7th, and 8th grade

Hi evryone! This will be my second year teaching at Woodmont Middle School and I couldn't be more excited! Get ready for some new out of the box projects!

I'm from Natick, MA, just outside of Boston, and I have always had a great passion for history, art, and education. After graduating from high school, I moved to South Carolina to attend Furman University. Go Dins! Once at Furman, I majored in History and was able to further my love for the subject by talking two month long classes abroad to study the impact of the Yugoslav Wars as well as to learn about sustainability and the Slow Foods Movement in Italy. In May of 2019, I graduated from Furman University with a B.A. in History and earned my Secondary Social Studies Education Certification in December 2019.

When I am not in the classroom, I can typically be found spending time with friends and traveling. I enjoy drawing and painting, touristing, and watching movies. Over the summers, I work as a tour guide at Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House in Concord, MA so I'm a huge Little Women fan.

I can’t wait to foster and share my creativity with my students and encourage them to take risks and think outside of the box. I am so excited to have this chance to meet, teach, and inspire your children!
