Teachers who hold an Initial Professional License are eligible to convert to a Continuing Professional License once...

• all required coursework has been successfully completed,

• all NCSBE approved examinations have been passed, and

• the teacher has completed three years of teaching.

Teachers with fewer than three years of teaching experience, however, are required to continue participating in a Beginning Teacher Support Program regardless of their licensure status.
