Good morning Winnie the Pooh (Pooh or WP) families!

In case you haven’t heard, our whimsical adventure is packed with 69 members in the cast! Rehearsals are rolling along for all grade levels during elective classes and during lunch recesses. I’m so delighted every time they open their mouths to sing. Their efforts are already paying off and this is going to be a precious and very fun show! Today I have a few general reminders, then separate specifics for our 6/7/8 families and 4/5 families.

Many show features and choreography begin to unfold over the next few weeks. Every rehearsal is important in our process. Please encourage your budding performers that we are one cast, all in, for HIm! As director, I would appreciate your prayers for clarity, creativity, direction and wisdom, during this early “big picture decisions” part of our journey. Thank you so much!

There will be ample opportunities for parent help and participation. You’ll be hearing from our hard working production team soon. Information regarding costumes, sets, props, and all other production matters on stage, back stage, pre & post program supervision, publicity, cast party, etc., will come. We need each other! If one of these areas already jumps out at you, floats your boat, and you want in now, early on in the planning stages, please contact me asap. And if providing snacks for one of our after school rehearsals is your thing, I’d love to hear from you as well. Thank you, parents!

The WHCS Music Website MUSICAL PAGE ( HERE) contains dates, info and ongoing news for our production. There will also be lyrics sheets posted for your students practice at home. Please subscribe to the Spring Musical UPDATES! You can do this at the top of this post.

6/7/8 Families (4/5 SEE BELOW)

*Please remember that the after school rehearsals March 19, April 9, 16, 23 & 25 are MANDATORY. However, your MS student is totally welcome to attend our Jan 29 & Feb 26, 3:05-5:00 rehearsals!

*Please encourage your student performer to stay current on school assignments. I will spare you my speech. This is, and will continue to be a big issue, now and as they move into high school.

*Each cast member has a big load of music to learn. They have cds. Lyric sheets will be available. Just a question or reminder from parents might spur on some extra practice at home (thank you)! Our goal is excellence before the Lord in all we do!

4/5 Families

*NEXT TUESDAY, January 29th, 3:05-5:00pm is our first monthly and MANDATORY after school rehearsal. These hours are so crucial to our momentum & development. Thanks for your commitment to this process that will benefit your child!

*I’d appreciate any home front push you can give your child in “doing the work” memorizing lyrics & learning songs. Excellence as unto the Lord continues to be our goal! Printed lyrics coming home soon, as well as being available on our website.

*Please encourage the use of those cds, my friends! If your child needs one, send them to me asap!

*A quick reminder that your accounts will soon be charged the musical fee: $60 (Fall Chorale returnees) or $75 (new members).

Again, I truly appreciate your prayers during this big adventure ahead. May we glorify God with excellence in both rehearsals and the show!

For Him who holds the future and each of our precious cast members~
