Meetings 1 & 2: Ideation and Idea Sharing

Our group met for our first meeting on 4th October to discuss on ideas we could embark on after receiving feedback that our idea of gifting (be it consumer or corporate) is an old idea and might not set itself apart. Bearing in mind that we need something to be set up within less than a month, we had to brainstorm for numerous ideas!

After the numerous ideas which we discussed, we have come out with the following ideas.

Customers order an innovative gift or kit sets online from us with customised written message and will be delivery to the receiver for gifting.

Possible Product Business

1. (B2B) Foldable grocery bag

Opportunities: No more plastic bags in school,

Sustainability outlook: There shift from plastics recently even among companies which use a lot of plastics

(Lego moved to sugarcane plant bricks, Coca cola, some other companies are also doing that).

Possible Add-Ons: Eco-friendly Reusable backpack for storage of items?

4. Travel kit

A customised solo travel or small group travel itinerary included in a box (or in other manifestation) of essentials like EZ link card, etc.

Feasibility: Tourism contributes to 4% of Singapore's GDP according to the Singapore Tourism Board, which is a rather substantial market share to deal with. We do not need a tour guide license as effectively we just package a do-it-yourself tour for the lazy planner to do the solo travelling.

To end the discussion for the day, we conducted crafted questions for 2 feasibility studies on our selected ideas.

We crafted the survey in mandarin as well to cater to the audience.
