Standards

We will be working on the Common Core State Standards for first grade this year. These standards will be taught and assessed throughout the school year. They are found on your child's standards-based report card. Your child is expected to improve upon and ideally master all standards in order to be prepared for second grade. Below are several different links that will bring you to the Ohio Common Core Standards for first grade. The Reading standards are broken into 3 categories - Reading Literature, Reading Informational Text, and Reading Foundational Skills.
