In-person only

First Day of School! Find the handouts and documents you need on this page. Turn in the paper I gave you, signed, by the first Monday (or a week from when you start class, if adding later in the year).

NOTE: Students and teachers should ONLY be using the new Grossmont Union High School District e-mail accounts. Your user ID is YOURIDNUMBER@guhsd.net, and you will need to reset your password to something you can remember. The school no longer manages your password, so pick something secure that you can remember! Your temp password is firstinitiallastinitialmonthdayyearofbirth. (For example, Joe Smith is born January 7, 1997, so his temp password is js010797. Please use two digits for month and day.)

  1. Students and Parents: Work together to provide contact information using this form. You will need your Google accounts provided by the school, which you should certainly know from Global Studies. [Please don't send a request to share the document with your personal/family GMail address. Students need to practice using their Grossmont account information. :) ] You will "sign" electronically at the end.

  2. Students and Parents: Read the Class Expectations.

  3. Students and Parents: Review the Citizenship Rubric.

  4. Students and Parents: Read about Academic Dishonesty.

  5. Students: Make sure to create your TurnItIn.com account (or enroll in this class if you already have an account) following the directions in left-navigation of this website or on the WHHS Tech Collective page. Enrollment information for all English classes can be found here.

  6. Students: Join Google Classroom at classroom.google.com. Enrollment information for all English classes can be found here.

  7. Students and Parents: Register for Remind.com. Enrollment information for all English classes can be found here. You must register your students e-mail, and you can register other e-mails and your cell number, although only put your cell if it is okay with you to receive text messages. If you don't have unlimited texting and are not willing to possibly incur charges, don't put your cell.
