Boehme's Battle School is only for juniors! The class is divided into eight armies, all named after armies from the novel. They are led by commanders who manage each army's Battle File. This contains all your battles (tests, assignments, etc.) You set your own calendar within the time constraints imposed by Col. Boehme, the Director of Battle School.
Commander Council meets with the Colonel at the beginning of each period to receive special instructions, which Commanders will convey to their army members. [Please note that the Colonel does NOT talk to soldiers/launchies. All communication must go through the Commanders.]
Army selection will take place on Friday, 9 February 2024 at lunch. Your attendance is mandatory. Make arrangements to be in attendance.
Scores are updated daily on the leader board, digital starting in 2022.
All commanders earn a bonus of ten percent of their army's final points. When Battle School closes for this session, all Commanders who successfully navigated their army the entire Battle School, regardless of where the army finishes, will earn 10% of their respective army's final points. Additionally, all members of the top three armies earn a percentage of the their respective army's final points. (Yes, the top three commanders earn an additional percentage!)
Those who do not keep up will be iced and will have to complete all battles without the support of an army.
If you have already read EG, you will read ENDER'S SHADOW or ENDER IN FLIGHT, at the discretion of the Colonel. If you zoom ahead, test out of EG and move on to another OSC book for extra credit.
