Course Content

The Stone Academy Dance Curriculum spirals from kindergarten to fifth grade based on state and national standards specifically:

• Technique

• Choreography

• Nonverbal communication

• Critical and creative thinking

• History and culture

• Healthful living

• Connections

Students are led through lessons that introduce, explore and refine skills needed for dance and choreography. Also, students are presented with historical information pertaining to dance. Throughout the 6 year program, students are given multiple opportunities to improvise and perform dances in informal and formal settings.
