Business Economics/Sports and Entertainment Marketing

Course Description

Students who take this course will first have to complete one semester of Business Economics. The second semester will be Sports and Entertainment Marketing. Each class is a 2.5 credit course.

The purpose of this class is to see that economics is to take what we’ve learned in Business Economics and apply it to the Sports and Entertainment world. Sports and Entertainment Marketing is everywhere- ballparks, theaters, television, stores, and the internet. The first marking period is taking notes, discussions, activities, research, and projects that will prepare you for the second marking period where you will run an online virtual business simulation. You will own and operate your own stadium where you market a football franchise team and entertain concerts.
