7th/8th Grade Band Overview

The 7th & 8th Grade Band rehearses daily in a full band setting at Auburn Middle School. During the summer and fall, the band will function as a Marching Band. Basic fundamentals of marching band will be introduced and developed, as the students will perform in the Nemaha County Fair Parade in the summer, and at a select home football game with the AHS Bulldog Marching Band in the fall.

Throughout the remainder of the year, the 7th & 8th Grade Band will function as a concert band. Concert band will enrich the students' musicianship as they develop proficiency in advanced instrumental music fundamentals, including tone production, balance, blend, intonation, technique, and musical expression as the students perform core repertoire for middle level bands. The 7th & 8th Grade Band performs throughout the year at concerts, events, and a festival in the spring.
