I am very excited to be starting my second year as Secondary Art Teacher. I consider myself an enthusiastic individual with a passion for education, art and technology. Through teaching, I am hoping to inspire the next generation of artists, innovators and leaders. I feel privileged that SZPAB has given me the opportunity to teach here in the UAE and hope my passion for Art and Technology will help further develop the aspirations of my students. Outside of the classroom I enjoy reading, exercising and traveling.

I’m from the UK where I started my teaching career in 1992. I worked in a number of UK schools before becoming an ICT adviser where I wrote a book on using LEGO in the classroom. This opened the door for me to join LEGO Education where I spent a decade teaching students, training teachers, working with governments and writing content on a variety of their products in over 30 countries around the world.

What drew me to Sheikh Zayed Boys was the opportunity to learn more about this amazing country, culture and heritage whilst keeping in touch with my passion for LEGO Education. This school, globally, is one of the best resourced schools I’ve come across. The LEGO Education hands on approach will be very successful here and its vision of ‘Enabling Every Child to Succeed’ fits into the ethos of the school so well.

This is my second year of teaching at this amazing school. I am from South Africa, married to a wonderful wife, that is also a very good teacher at SZPAB KG 2. We love to travel and discover the world's different cultures and food, we thoroughly enjoy being outdoors.

To stay fit I enjoy obstacle races, gym, playing rugby and golf. My favorite hobbies is to fly my drone, record videos and to edit some video footage.
