Shuangyong aims to offer children diversified learning methods and materials, allowing them to take the learning blocks they need to piece together their unique selves. The design is centered around two Chinese characters '雙永' (shuāng yǒng), transforming their contours to form the basis of a puzzle-like framework. Rooted in the school’s commitment to sustainability, '雙' (shuāng) embodies the inclusive development of education-oriented development (EOD), transforming the original buildings of the two schools Yongchun and Yongji into an integrated architectural structure. The '雙' (shuāng) character is reimagined as towering buildings, symbolizing growth and fusion. The box-like shape within the '隹' (zhuī) radical signifies the window to children's futures. The '永' (yǒng) character is composed of elements representing children learning joyfully, vibrant campus gardens, and ecological pools for rainwater harvesting.
