When using PowerSchool, you will often hear different terms and phrases associated with what we do at the site & district level. In an effort to make sure we are on the same page across the district here are some common terms and tasks associated with those terms.
What does SIS mean?
SIS is the acronym we use for Student Information System(s). In our case it refers to the PowerSchool Admin and Teacher portals along with all the associated Databases.
2. What does Rollover mean?
Rollover is one of the terms associated with our End of Year (EOY) processes in PowerSchool. This process will occur after grades have been finalized for the current year, so that work can begin on the live side of the next school year. Prior to this "event" there are several items that must be completed by each site before we are ready for the new year. Use this checklist to see if you are "Ready to Roll."
