Beginning next year, OSDE will utilize exit codes certified through the Annual Statistical Review (ASR) to determine each student’s end-of-year status. This will streamline later reporting processes for school officials, as these certified data will be used for both the Dropout and Enrollment Graduation DVR reports.
Because the current ASR window serves as the data verification review (DVR) process for exit related data for SY 2021-2022, it is imperative that you update exit codes and dates in your local SIS and then confirm that they are displaying on the Enrollments tab in Accountability Reporting for students who:
Graduated with a diploma (1921);
Left before the last day of your school calendar (i.e., parent withdrew student); or
Left before the last day of school and show an exit code of 9999 on the Enrollments tab.
The current ASR window will serve as the only data verification process for student-level exit data for SY 2021-2022 reporting. It will not be possible to request changes to a student’s exit codes and/or exit dates after certification of the ASR, except in instances where the student’s exit status changed after the last day of school (e.g., you receive a records request during the summer).
NOTE: Students that complete the school year and have blank, Null or 9999 exit codes will be automatically updated to 3505 to show that they finished the year.
To support this review, please refer to ASR Exit Codes and Dates Guidance Tool and/or email us at Accountability@sde.ok.gov.
Postsecondary Coursework Grades (Applies to High Schools with students in grades 11 and/or 12)
If you have students in grades 11 and/or 12, it is imperative that you check the Coursework tab in the Accountability Reporting application to ensure that grades are being displayed. If grades are not showing, it is critical that you work with your vendor before your local student information system stops sending SY 2021-2022 data to the Wave to resolve any issues as these data will be used to determine if an approved postsecondary course is eligible for credit under the Postsecondary Opportunities Indicator.
To support troubleshooting with your vendor, please refer to the SIF Objects Mapping Document for SIF Object 1.21 Student Section Marks and/or email us at StudentDataInfo@sde.ok.gov or Accountability@sde.ok.gov.
