Yukon Public Schools is committed to using a high-quality system of assessments to improve student academic outcomes. By utilizing data from formative, interim, and summative assessments, teachers are able to make informed decisions regarding effective instructional strategies. Administering assessments and gathering data are integral parts of the academic cycle. Each component drives the next in a cyclical pathway; curriculum drives instruction which drives assessments, which provides results to reflect on the instructional strategies that have been implemented. This cycle allows for informed decision-making at the class, school, and district levels.
