I have been in education for 34 years. I have been a counselor at Central Elementary for 28 years. Before becoming a counselor, I taught 2nd and 3rd grade for 6 years in the Choctaw-Nicoma Park School District. It has been a pleasure seeing all of the Central students pass through these halls all of these years. I love seeing them return as seniors graduating high school, and now I am seeing them as parents with students attending Central! Wow, time flies!
I have a master's degree in guidance and counseling and a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Central Oklahoma. I am certified by the OK State Department of Education in elementary education, elementary and secondary counseling, and elementary administration. I am also licensed by the OK State Board of Behavioral Health as a licensed professional counselor.
I am married with two children and a long haired dachshund. I love spending time with my family, reading, going to the movies and concerts, and being outside.
My goal as a counselor is to help students to be successful in school academically, socially, and emotionally.
