At PCHS, our NJROTC unit has many fun teams to choose from. There is a wide variety of different teams' cadets can choose from, so no matter what you may like doing outside of school, there will likely be a team waiting for you in NJROTC.
Orienteering
Team Commander: C/PO1 Balus, C
Assistant Team Commander: C/SR Keyser, C
Through 3 different difficulties—yellow, orange, and green—cadets are given a map, compass, whistle, and a finger stick, and compete in a race to reach all their points and get to the finish line.
Color Guard
Team Commander: C/SCPO Ortega, J
Assistant Team Commander: C/CS Rivers, J
Cadets learn how to conduct themselves while participating in ceremonial color guards for the community. Opportunities to witness significant moments in communities are present and to expand on individual knowledge.
Marksmanship
Team Commander: C/CPO Nantz, C
Assistant team Commander: C/PO3 Knight, C
Cadets learn how to properly and accurately shoot precision air rifles in postal and shoulder-to-shoulder in-person competitions. Marksmanship instills self-discipline, gun safety, and breath control in cadets. Cadets meet for practice once a week, on Mondays, our varsity team meets for practice, and on Thursdays, our junior varsity team meets for practice.

The Physical Training Team consists of individuals who enjoy exercise and physical activity. There is no qualification necessary, and any JROTC cadet is allowed to join.
Academics
Team Commander: C/SR Adams, B
Assistant Team Commander: C/SN Tower, B
A group of cadets who study the NJROTC textbooks as well as current and past events. The Academic Team is responsible for studying and training rigorously to compete at Field Meets and Brain Brawls.
