1. Title: A descriptive name for the project-located across the top of the board.

2. Question: A statement or description of the problem being studied.  Please make sure it is a testable science question.

3. Hypothesis- A prediction of what they think the result of the project will be. It should read as an “if and then statement.” If _________________, then _______________.

4. Research- Information on the topic, prior knowledge, or ideas about the project.

5. Materials- Items in a list format that are used to conduct the experiment.

6. Procedure- Step by step instructions with a complete description of how the experiment was conducted-this should be written in a format that any individual can read it and conduct the experiment successfully without help from you.  Experiments need at least three trials!!!

7. Data: Information collected by completing the experiment-Graphs and charts. Make sure all are properly labeled and easy to read.

8. Results- What happened in the experiment and did the hypothesis match your data?  Remember, science is a learning process.  It’s okay if your hypothesis does not match your data! 😊

9. Conclusion- How can this information be used? What could be done differently next time? Explain any problems that occurred and how you could correct them in the future. What other questions do you have now since completing this experiment?

10. Bibliography- A list of resources (at least 3) used to gather information.  Your teachers will help you write the bibliography in APA format.
