ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME - STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS IN THE FIELD OF SCHOOL EDUCATION

Leading objective: Supporting the educational process of visually impaired students by ensuring equal access to workbooks (textbooks), additional literature and materials via creating supportive environment for their integration into the secondary education system.

Specific objectives: 

1. Adaptation of workbooks (textbooks) and additional literature in an accessible format for visually impaired students;

2. Creating equal opportunities for visually impaired students to get easily integrated into the secondary education system;

3. Assisting families of visually impaired children in building up a supportive environment.

Activities:

1. Providing textbooks and manuals in an accessible format for visually impaired students who study in an integrated way. 

2. Printing in Braille and adapting in electronic format the literature studied at school, which has not been available so far.

3. Creating a web platform for counseling (offline) family members of visually impaired children at school age, with access to a database (virtual resources library) applicable to the project idea objectives;

4. Development/adaptation of software for visual text-perception glasses to be used by visually impaired students;

5. Dissemination of project results (media coverage, events, etc.)
