Unless it is COVID-related, Remote Learning is for the entire time from now until March Break or post March Break - June
Welcome to The York School Continuity of Learning Plan. Please refer to the links at the top for information specific to each division of the school, as well as the Parents and Tech Support sections for some helpful resources.
During the times our campus is closed we will engage our students with learning experiences and activities that will continue to deliver our school mission as well as help them to stay connected with their teachers, classmates and community.
While on campus, our Returning To Campus Guidelines includes correspondence on COVID updates in The York School community.
The following JK-5, 6-8 & 9-12 pages outline the different Continuity of Learning expectations for students, teachers and families. These will be updated often and will serve as our main point of communication for resources and learning structure recommendations.
The York School is a caring and resilient community that will support one another during the campus closure.

For The York School, student, family and community engagement is key. Despite the difficulties posed by emergency distance learning, on many levels it has ramped up our innovation and creativity. It’s also deepened relationships among faculty, students, families and caregivers. Here below are video snapshots of The York School community in action since March 2020.
Preparing for a pandemic was the last thing on our mind when we adopted our Learning, Innovation and Technology vision for The York School:
"our approach to technology is not about gadgets and gizmos – it is about a progressive approach to education and a school-wide commitment to innovation" and that we "offer a culture of creativity that inspires teachers and students to think differently, explore confidently and adapt skillfully..."
The fearlessness, curiousity and skills our students have brought to table in leveraging technology to stay connected and keep learning is inspiring.
