This is a photo of a woman walking along the rocks that have been partially submerged by the high tide to fulfill her curiosity.

The clear water surface resembles a gigantic color palette, perfectly reflecting the azure sky.

The sculpture seems to emerge from the earth, with vegetation gracefully climbing along its curves, tenderly enveloping it as if in a natural embrace. The sculpture's gaze, or rather the slightly raised texture of the plant life, gazes towards the sky as if chasing the lightness of clouds.

This is one of my photos that I've taken recently. It is taken at York and reminds me of my time spent with Allison Griffin and Maddie Gill last year.

It took a lot of thinking to get this angle and having it look as if the photo is being taken from on top of the water. This is a picture of Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. :)

This is in a plane ride over Greenland and I really liked how the window tinted everything purple, so I wanted to capture it while I could still see all the snow covered mountain tops.

I took this photo on a walk in San Fransisco because I though the sight was unbelievably beautiful. I love the metaphor behind the small river leading to a huge ocean. To me, it symbolizes the endless possibilities that await in the future.

For dedication to York, I wanted to share a classic photo taken in this time but brought back in time. I decided that this specific student [who was edited in] would pair well with the photo. I took the photo of the library since it is one of York’s best buildings so I want to acknowledge it and pay tribute with this.

WITHERING AUTUMN
Austin Cook, 2024
This image was taken on the York hilltop, with the sun shining through the amber leaves and dead branches of the trees. The decay of the tree symbolizes the withering away of autumn as the cold winter slowly approaches with no sign of stopping.
