Project overview
The EDI protections policy brief has been developed by the EDI Research Centre, and is based on a rigiorous research project emerging from a collaboration between the Vitae policy group and the University of York. The project sought to explore the lived experiences of minoritised staff working in EDI research environments in order to identify what protections need to be established to support these staff members' wellbeing. The findings fed into a policy brief which outlines key recommendations that need to be adopted by: 1) Principal Investigators, 2) Senior Leaders, and 3) Funding bodies. A framework has also been developed to shed further insight on how the suggested protections may be enacted.
