STUDENT POETRY, PROSE, AND ESSAYS
By Alondra Rodriguez, Class of 2026
Within our kingdom you are able to find lots of imaginative/innovative minds who love to create magnificent art. Every day you can find passionate Picasso-esque drawings and paintings or kids creating things with their bare hands. Whether it's on paper or using digital design, our students show their extraordinary talents in all forms of art. Let's take a look at some of the art created here at the Kingdom of Champions and see what masterpieces they have created.
In every painting, sketch and drawing, each individual shows us what they excel at doing to keep their imagination active in their free times.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR ASPIRING ARTISTS?
“I would say that artists should take their time refining and building their skills. Learning the basics and proper proportions from classical studies helps a lot, even if the style they want to achieve is cartoony, learning the fundamentals will greatly help them.”

WHAT IS ART?
“I see art as a way to express thoughts and feelings without needing to use the complexity of words. Speech, words have always been difficult for me to use no matter how fluent I am. So ever since I was 10, I took art seriously and picked up animation to express my thoughts. What I focus on in my art is body language, and it’s also why I’d love to push myself into animation and psychology more.”

WHAT GOT YOU INTO DRAWING?
“Well I’ve always loved art and reading. I would say I’m a creative person who likes crafting and making things that goes with cooking as well. Drawing is something I’ve done since I was little. I see it as a form of expression and also something fun to do honestly. Art is something difficult that takes time but when time passes you see progress and changes in it. It shows how one has grown into the person they are.”

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ABOUT ART?
“To me the most fun part about drawing is the free feeling of being able to sketch out any ideas and create them into something that defines me“
Each of these amazing art pieces ends up telling a story of how the world is viewed and how these artists feel inside. Creating each piece with various emotions, they all get inspired by what they see, hear or touch.
