Role: Software Development Lead - Unisys / Edwards Air Force Base (NASA DFRC)
The Challenge
Supporting U.S. Air Force (USAF) and NASA programs demanded systems capable of operating under strict reliability, performance, and safety requirements—where software failure could compromise mission outcomes.
The Strategy
Led development of mission‑critical desktop, web, and SharePoint systems for the USAF Flight Test Center, USAF Test Pilot School, and NASAs Flight Research Center.
Designed real‑time flight processing and telemetry systems supporting live test operations and engineering analysis.
Drove software upgrade and hardware integration efforts for the Joint Strike Fighter program, standardizing Linux and Windows platforms.
Built the Data Management System, automating engineering file generation and PCM configuration to eliminate manual effort and reduce errors.
The Results
Reliability: Delivered high‑reliability systems used daily by flight test teams—supporting decisions where accuracy, timing, and dependability were critical.
Visibility: Improved operational visibility by enabling faster access to telemetry data and generating automated engineering outputs.
Standardization: Reduced system inconsistencies and integration failures across Air Force environments through standardized configurations.
