The BattleBots team will be having meetings every Friday in room E-9. They are currently working on prototypes, and have an upcoming competition on Saturday May 17th. Cheer on our team and Support them!
On May 15th at 5:00PM, Park View Middle School will be having a stem night to show off stem careers, fields, and devices. It will be open to all students, and will be a fun spectacle for all to enjoy. See you there YHS!
The Solar Boat team will be competing at the Yucaipa Regional Park from May 2nd to May 4th, 2025. This spectacle is available for all citizens of Yucaipa, so come cheer on our team in the competition. See you there!
Our YHS Truss Team will be taking a trip to the Caltrans Facility to compete in a truss building competition. The competition will be on May 1st, 2025. Wish them luck!
On April 30th, YHS students will be taking a field trip to Caltrans. Students get the chance to see tons of cool careers, manufacturing, CHP offices, and more. The busses will meet in the morning, and the field trip will take most of the day. There is a limited amount of spots, so get your applications in as soon as possible!
The E-Sports team will be having dinner as a team in room L1 from 3:30 to 5:30 on April 24th. If you are a part of the team, you should attend this dinner. We hope you enjoy.

On March 14th, 2025, we will be holding a competition to see who can memorize the most digits of pi. Show off your skills during both lunches in the quad. The top two winners of each lunch will receive a $10 Dutch Bros gift card.
10th Graders get to go to Cal Poly Pomona. Get your permission slip from Mr. Dalzell Wednesday 1/29/25, and the slips are due by 2/13/25. The field trip will be on March 10th, 2025. Times to be determined. Please see Mr. Dalzell by March 4th to determine whether you will be bringing lunch, buying lunch, or receiving a sack lunch from the school.
Engineering students will get a chance to talk to our advisory board about activities, clubs, and other teams here at Yucaipa High School. The board meeting will be on March 6th, 2025 at 4:00 PM in room L-1.
The Engineering Career Fair is an annual career fair hosted by the Engineering Academy, and led by students. Students get to be a liaison to a company, and they get in a position to come to our campus to present to students. The Engineering Career Fair will be held during students second and third periods on February 28th, 2025.
Incoming Freshman will be able to come to campus on February 6th, 2025 to see their new year teachers, check out the engineering academy, and see the layout of the campus. We'll see you there!

Yucaipa High School is having a talent show! The talent show Auditions are due January 17th, and the event will be held on Friday 1/24/25 from 5PM-10PM. The call time is 5pm, and the show will be from 7PM to 9:30PM.
CBU is having a star wars themed basketball night on January 23rd, 2025. The CBU Lancers will take on Utah Valley at 8pm, and if you can't make it in person, there will be the live game on ESPNU. If your interested you may visit cbulancers.evenue.net for more information.

Cal Baptist University will be holding an open-house event for high school students and their parents to learn more about engineering and the Gordon and Jill Bourns College of Engineering at CBU. November 2, 2024, Cal Poly Pomona will be hosting a hands on polytechnic experience in a supportive and diverse environment. The event will be from 9AM to 3PM and will feature talking with current students, staff, and other faculty members, touring of the campus by foot or shuttle, answering financial aid and admission questions, and visiting a resource fair for you and your family. Students will be selected to attend a white house cybersecurity speech at CSUSB. Harry Wingo, Deputy National Cyber Director of the Office of the National Cyber Director, will be speaking, as well as members of congress, business leasers, government officials, as well as leadership from the State of California and San Bernardino County. The event will be held October 25, and will be from 8:30AM to 1:00PM. There is a slideshow from students who attended here.

The Educator STEPcon is looking for students to participate in short videos about the impact of STEM education to potentially get up to a $1,000 scholarship! Apply by October 1st, 2024.
The first advisory board meeting will be held on September 26th, 2024. The meeting will be at 4-5PM, and be on Zoom and in person.
If you are interested in joining robotics, please meet in room E-9 on Wednesday, September 25th. The meeting will be afterschool from 3:40 PM to 5:00 PM. The meeting will be spent getting to know each other and sharing important information.

On April 30th, we will be taking engineers to go see Caltrans in Fontana. If you are attending, please meet at the vans at 9:30 AM. You will be returning by sixth period.
Hosted annually and managed by Cameron Petinak, the career fair will be held on April 26th during second and third period. If you are in an engineering class during this time, you teacher will take you. If not, you will need to get a pass to go down.
It will include appearances of Caltrans, Sorenson Engineering, Lazer Legacy and more!
On April 23rd, the engineering academy will bring 50 of our students to see micrometer manufacturing. Please wear close toed shoes if you are going to go. You will not be allowed to go if you are wearing open toed shoes due to safety reasons. Be outside of the A-Building at 8:00 AM sharp.

2nd Annual Engineering Career Fair 2022
On April 19th, 2023, YHS hosted it's second annual career fair! The event expanded to 13 booths, up from 8 last year. Led by Cameron Petinak and a strong team of liasions and staff, the event was a success!
On April 4th, there will be a Leadership Meeting after school! In L-9 (Mr. Lacey's Room) from 3:30-4:30, we'll meet and discuss our projects in groups.
On April12th, the Sophomores will be going to Cal Poly Pamona!
On March 2nd, our female leaders went to Chapman Heights Elementary School to interact with the students! They built legos to promote STEM activity and introduced them to an aspect of Engineering.

On November 15th 2022, some of our Academy members had the oppertunity to visit an engine and steamer company! They got to learn about steam engines, see some cool machines, and even ride a small train! There's also an attached video below:
On September 28th, 2022, several of our Engineers met with our Advisory Board. They were able to learn about the first events of the year, including website updates and the revision of the videography team.
On September 20th 2022, our seniors went and toured Cal Baptist University. They got to learn about the campus and potental scholarships.
Dodgeball Tournament
On May 20th, 2022, we had an all-academy dodgeball tournament! Teams battled it out with dodgeballs, watched a movie, ate yummy snacks, and more!
5/18 Advisory Board meeting
On May 18th, 2022, several leadership members met with the Advisory Board. We discussed the Manufacturing Field Trip, the career day, and more. For more information check the Advisory Board tab.
Architecture Field Trip to Redlands
On May 16th, 2022, 12 members had the opportunity to review original drawings of local business renovations before visiting the current sights to see the improvements.. It was an immersive experience where our engineers got to learn more about our local engineers.
On May 11th, 2022, our freshman had the opportunity to visit Cal Baptist University. It was an amazing experience, and they got to learn about lots of types of engineering, including nanotechnology and chemical engineering. They also got to build their own catapult and test spaghetti stick towers on an earthquake machine!
San Bernardino County workers partnered with the leadership team to release a prototype of a new cybersecurity game, Cyber WatchDog. The game was designed to intrigue students and help promote cybersecurity due to the large deficit of cybersecurity jobs. Although errors were encountered, the beta was overall a success!
On April 20th, 2022, a few of our engineers visited Big Time Design in Beaumont to learn about how shirts are printed. It was a unique opportunity to see how next year's shirts will be made!
On April 19th, 2022, the YHS leadership hosted an all-academy career day. Many special companies/colleges, including CBU and CalTrans, came and set up booths to show the students. It was an incredible opportunity for all academy members, to explore more about the huge field of engineering.
On March 10th, 2022, our junior engineers got to tour CSUSB. Along with a tour of the campus, we got to learn more about their cybersecurity program, participate in a simulation, and talk with the cybersecurity club leader.
On April 8th, 2022, our engineering sophomores got to tour CSUF.
YHS Audio Engineering Trip
On March 6th, 2022, a team of our Engineers went to Music Lessons Central to film their own song covers. Orchestrated by Angelo Carlo, a group of audio workers, band members, and more were put together to help film covers of a few iconic songs. It was an amazing opportunity to learn about audio engineering and see how songs are made.
YHS All-Academy meet-up
All of the academies got together during lunch on March 22nd, 2022. It was a fun time with food and games.
On February 23rd, 2022, Charles Rouse from CSUSB came and talked to the Academy about their cybersecurity program. He also showed off some of his equipment and drones.
Parent Visit
On February 9th, 2022, parents of incoming freshmen came to get a glimpse of the Academy. Parents saw kids playing games, some tech from CSUSB, and had questions answered by upperclassmen and staff.
