Hi, My name is Leilani Mercado, I am a Sophomore at Yucaipa High School and I am a part of the Engineering academy, the leadership team, robotics team, and battle bot team. There are lots of of things I love about the academy but one of my most favorite things is the hands on learning that we get to do. It's really cool because we get to practice what we've learned and it's really fun to do! I've also loved lots about leadership, and am glad I joined because I have been provided with amazing opportunities, and have learned a lot more about scheduling events and collaborating with a wide range of people from students to professional engineers.
