Science at St. Elizabeth helps us understand the world around us. In Biology, we study living things with trips to the zoo, visits from Reptilia and the all important dissections. In Chemistry we learn about the atom through experimentation and all those exciting explosive demos. Physics is where the students get to build practical applications (e.g., pasta bridges, egg surviving drops) of all the theories and really apply the concepts they are learning.
We have a rich history of winning at many science competitions like Sanofi Biogenius, The Envirothon and The Art of Physics competition, showing the dedication of our staff putting in the extra effort. The greatest indicator of the success of our science program here at St. Elizabeth is the large number of graduates who tell us they really feel like they were prepared for their post secondary studies. That is the mark of a great school.
