This course focuses on enhancing students' understanding of physics by examining kinematics, linear motion, forces, energy transformations, mechanical waves, sound, electricity, and magnetism. It enhances scientific investigation skills by testing physics laws and analyzing the relationship between physics and technology, considering the impact of technological applications on society and the environment.

This course is designed for gifted or exceptional students, providing a comprehensive understanding of physics concepts. Students will explore kinematics, linear motion, forces, energy transformations, mechanical waves, sound, electricity, and magnetism. They will enhance their scientific investigation skills by testing physics laws and analyzing the interrelationships between physics and technology. The course aims to help students become self-directed, responsible, lifelong learners who think reflectively and creatively, evaluating situations and solving problems. It also helps students address the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectation of becoming self-directed, responsible, and lifelong learners.
