This course teaches students about chemistry, including properties, bonds, reactions, solutions, solubility, and atmospheric chemistry. It enhances analytical skills, investigates matter's qualitative and quantitative properties, and explores the impact of chemical reactions on society and the environment. Students will also develop analytical skills in understanding chemical bonds, solutions, and solubility.

This course is designed for gifted or exceptional students, offering a regular grade level curriculum and additional material for challenge and enrichment. It teaches students about deepening their understanding in chemistry, including solutions, solubility, and atmospheric chemistry as well as organic chemistry and structure & properties. Students will develop problem-solving and investigation skills, as well as refine their ability to communicate scientific information. It aims to help students become reflective and creative thinkers, examining, evaluating, and applying knowledge of interdependent systems for the development of a just and compassionate society, addressing the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectation.
