SBA has had a long tradition of welcoming our Grade 9 students by participating in a fun, activity-filled 3-day camp at Muskoka Woods, led by our amazing Grade 12 mentors. Since we weren't able to go to Muskoka Woods this year, our Grade 12 mentors have been bringing aspects of Muskoka Woods to our Grade 9 students at home.

Since we weren't able to go to Muskoka Woods this year, our Grade 12 mentors have been bringing aspects of Muskoka Woods to our Grade 9 students at home.
Grade 9 students are organized into groups , and are led by some of our best Grade 12 student leaders. During our monthly sessions, our Grade 9 students meet other people in their grade, and get to connect with our Grade 12 mentors. Our Grade 12 mentors offer advice and help our Grade 9 students transition better into high school. Each month, our Grade 12 mentors lead a small session about a specific topic, such as goal setting, mental health, etc., while having some fun with their Grade 9 groups.

Every year, SBA welcomes our Grade 9 students with our 3-day trip to Muskoka Woods on Lake Rousseau (2 hours away). Over the 3 days, our Grade 9 students, led by our amazing Grade 12 Student Leaders, adventure together, build new friendships, and make memories that last a lifetime.
