This course helps students to meet Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations by enabling each person to become a responsible citizen who witnesses Catholic social teaching by promoting equality, democracy, and solidarity for a just, peaceful and compassionate society.
MLSE CAREER FORUM FIELD TRIP
Students get the opportunity to hear from executives that work for Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment and learn about the different business careers this organization has to offer, as well as the education pathways that some of their employees have taken. The exciting career forum ends with the students attending a Toronto FC game or a Raptors 905 game.
The big culminating project for this course involves students spending four months creating a marketing plan and presentation to pitch a fictitious Major League Soccer team for a city that currently does not have one.
Professionals from the marketing field are then invited to the school to act as judges and listen to their final presentations. We have had judges from TSN, MLSE and Toronto Inter Academy.
