Grade 12 Accounting
This course introduces students to advanced accounting principles that will prepare them for postsecondary studies in business. Students will learn about financial statements for various forms of business ownership and how those statements are interpreted in making business decisions. This course expands students' knowledge of sources of financing, further develops accounting methods for assets, and introduces accounting for partnerships and corporations.
Prerequisite: BAF3M1
Gr. 12 Accounting Students have the opportunity to become a High School Ambassador with CPA Ontario. In doing so, the students are able to participate in a variety of competitions hosted by CPA Ontario and also attend a No Limits Conference where they have the opportunity to network with Chartered Professional Accountants and learn more about the process of getting a CPA designation.
