Catholic Social Teaching as the Foundation for Justice
Embedded in every course that students take in Religous Education, is a strong focus on knowing and understanding the aims of Catholic Social Teaching in establishing a more just society for the benefit of the common good. At the heart of Catholic Social Teaching is the premise of the Golden Rule that is extolled in almost every major world religion and faith tradition - "Treat others as you would want to be treated." Students explore issues of environmental and social justice and take on the role of problem solvers by asking the big question 'What is my role in the world?'
