I have achieved my goals for this semester. By applying the techniques that I have learned in this class, I have been able to compose beautiful images in a more thoughtful and meaningful way. I now know how to draw attention to certain subjects through techniques such as leading lines or framing, and I continue to be inspired in my daily life to take images. Using these techniques, I will be able to take thoughtfully-composed and captivating portraits of interesting people.
Looking ahead, I will use the photography skills that I developed in this class to take better images that carry more meaning. Throughout my travels this summer, I will try out some of the new techniques that I have learned in Photography 1 in order to capture memories in a more powerful way. I hope to take Photography 2 in the future, because I would be very excited to work in the dark room. I would also like to continue taking images at sports and events, because I have really enjoyed that. By continuing to take well-composed images, I will be able to hone my photography skills even further.
I take photos because I love to capture the beauty of tiny moments in time. I love that every image is special and represents something unique - a moment that won't be repeated ever again. I am inspired to find and encapsulate beauty in things that many people may not consider beautiful. I especially love photos that carry an emotion that is passed on to the viewer. This semester, I want to further expand my knowledge of photography outside of sports and nature photography. I find portraits very meaningful, so I would love to learn how to take impactful and beautiful portraits of people.
