The project that I am the most proud of is my doodle project. I spent a lot of time outside of class working on it, and I was really happy with the result. It creates a busy, colorful, patterned effect that I really loved. Another project that I was really proud of was my still-life drawing. I have never been good at realistic drawing, so I thought that I wouldn’t love this unit. However, I actually had a lot of fun while shading my drawing and making the shapes as realistic as possible! I was very proud of myself for the end result that I produced. Something that I found was very cool was the color library that the dude from Harvard had. This has made me see colors differently -- every time that I see a pretty color, I think about what it is composed of. It’s so interesting to think about “rare” colors, and the fact that he knew so much about each individual color was pretty amazing. In the future, I am excited to use my newly developed basic art skills to try out photography! I would like to be able to take better photos in the future. My goal for the future is to be more perceptive when I see colors that I like. I will think about everything that I learned about making colors!
Lots of things inspire me to make art. Some things are: I love doing art because it helps to relax me after a long, stressful day. I am very inspired by the outdoors, especially the ocean. This semester, I hope to get better at drawing people, because I think that is a very cool skill that I wish to have. I hope that we work with realistic drawing because I really like how that style of art looks.
