I feel like the goals I set were very atainable and I feel that I have acheived the ones that I could given the types of projects we did in class. I got much better at blending especially with the watercolor lanscape (below) but we didn't do many projects that were depicting animals or motion but I feel that if I were to try again now I would do much better with the techniques learned in this class. I think that the possible issue I gave at the start of the semester of 'not having done much art' was easily remedied by the way that the class was taught and the emphasis on learning and practicing new techniques. This really helped me learn and improve as the class went on.
I often find myself inspired by nature as well as the mundane. Some of my favorite pieces of historical art are beautifully captured still lives or are natural scenes and some of my best peices have been drawings of things like shoes. Some techniques I would like to improve on include blending as well as my depictions of people and things in motion. My main challenge to achieving this goal would be my lack of experience when it comes to art because this is my first year taking a high school art class and have only done real art in middle school prior to this year. I have found that I often really do take feedback to heart wether it be to my betterment or detriment.
