One Pt. Perspective Drawing

Purpose:

• To gain an understanding and demonstrate how one-point perspective is used effectively to communicate a three-dimensional idea on a two dimensional surface

• To use color effectively to show depth and mood.

Reflection

This art piece was fun because I like to draw, and I struggle with proportions and perspective. With the central disappearing point it was much easier to be accurate in those. It was also cool to know what I'm drawing before I drew it, because usually I go into a drawing with no idea of what I'm doing. I do struggle with drawing in color and I generally avoid it when I can, so that was difficult for me. Also choosing the colors that I wanted to make it look nice was hard for me. Overall I did enjoy making the piece, but I need to work on how I use colors to show depth.
