Restorative Farming

Our hope - Building a new blue-green economy that educates our students and community members, mitigates climate change and grows healthy and local foods for our local community.

Sequester Carbon - Kelp and other sea vegetables absorb up to 5xs the amount of carbon as land-based plants.

Build Reef Systems - the farm will rebuild natural reef systems and restore species that protect our ocean communities from violent storms.

Zero Input Farming - the crops and shellfish we grow do not require any fertilizers or fresh water making it the most sustainable form of food production on the planet.

Prevent Deadzones - Oxygen-depleted dead zones are a major global crisis and the main causes are nitrogen run-off from farms, factories, and homes. Our oysters and kelp will help capture this runoff and filter it out of our marine ecosystems.
