Coaching Staff

Head Coach: Marc Halsted

-Entering his 20th year as Yarmouth High School Head Baseball Coach

-Grew up in Orono, Maine and attended Orono High School (Class of 1994)

-A member of the Old-Town-Orono Twins American Legion Baseball program for four years

-Played on four state championship teams.  Three straight American Legion crowns (1992-94) and one Class B championship at OHS (1994)

-Played four years at the University of Maine as an infielder and graduated in 1998

-Head Coach at Hampden Academy for six years (1999 to 2004)

-Also coaches the YHS First Team and the Yarmouth Baseball program in the summer

-Maine Lightning coach, 2023-present (Assistant with the 15u Showcase team and 13u Head Coach)

-Teaches both A.P. and C.P. United States History YHS

-Currently resides in Freeport with his wife Amy and two sons, Teague and Cooper

Assistant Varsity Coach, Dom Morrill

-Entering his fifth year as a Yarmouth Baseball Coach

-Graduated from Yarmouth in 2018, and played three years of varsity baseball

-A key member of the 2017 State Championship team as a starting pitcher, DH, and (during the playoffs) a closer.  Dom was on the mound to finish both the upset wins over #1 Madison/Carrabec and #2 York in the Southern Maine Championship.

-Middle School Baseball Coach for Yarmouth in 2019

-A three-year letter winner with Yarmouth Hockey and now a head coach for the 18u Casco Bay Mariners travel team

-Currently resides in Yarmouth 

JV Coah Daniel Yancelson

-Entering his third year as JV Coach with Yarmouth Baseball

-Coached the HMS 8th Grade team in 2023

-Played college baseball at Texas Lutheran University as an infielder

-A native of Mexico City, Daniel moved to San Antonia where he played his high school baseball

-Currently teaches Spanish at Gray-New Gloucester Middle School and resides in Yarmouth with his wife and son

Volunteer Assistant and Pitching Coach Brian Robinson

-Entering his fifth year with the program, specifically working with our pitchers and outfielders

-Multi-year letter winner at the University of Vermont as a pitcher.  Player of the Week Honors during his senior season at UVM

-All Conference player at Cape Elizabeth 

-Works at Bowdoin College as Associate Director for Talent Strategy

-Lives in Yarmouth with his wife Betsy and future Clipper Baseball player Thomas (10) and daughter Avery (8)
