I sail alone
The seagulls squawk their greeting happily
The sun shines its good day, smiling
The seals pop their heads up to say hi
The bell buoy dings a hello, louder as I get nearer
The clams bubble their ‘sups and what’s happenin’s
The wind kisses me on each cheek, laughing
The seaweed ripples its welcome to all of us
The water licks the sides of the boat, waving at us
We sail together
